What is Brewerytown like?

Brewerytown takes its name from the many breweries that operated here in the 19th century. It sits north of Fairmount along West Girard Avenue, where the Route 15 trolley runs, and borders the eastern edge of Fairmount Park.

Girard Avenue has added new restaurants, cafes and shops, and the neighborhood has seen steady rehab and new construction.

What kinds of homes are in Brewerytown?

Mostly two- and three-story brick rowhomes, many fully renovated, alongside new-construction townhomes and small condo buildings. Buyers often find more space for the money here than in neighboring Fairmount.
